In my Computer Lab class, comprised of 6th and 8th graders, we used VoiceThread capabilities to comment on the phenomenon of cyberbullying, and ways to address this problem. Students reflected on their prior knowledge and experiences concerning cyberbullying to brainstorm solutions to this problem.
Reflection:
VoiceThreading is a very simple way to gain feedback from a variety of individuals on a topic. My students were able to take to the software right away, and enjoyed sharing their commentary, regarding the issue. I will continue to use VoiceThread to introduce other concepts in my classroom.
